A few spots left! Savor the last days of summer with Caroline Pineau and Checka Antifonario on Block Island! If you are looking for a unique yoga weekend getaway in one of New England’s sweetest spots, this is it. Block Island is a stunning island 13 miles off the coast of Rhode Island, easily accessible by ferry. A leader in conservation, it is chock full of nature and breathtaking scenery at every turn. Visitors can venture out on a gorgeous hike or bike ride (bring your own or rent a bike or moped on island), bask in sun and stillness on one of the many pristine beaches, or peruse the downtown shops and eateries. Taxis are also readily available if you would like to explore the island’s further reaches. The mellow pace and warm hospitality of Block Island will embrace you the moment you arrive, and you will feel a world away from the hustle and bustle of the mainland. Be prepared to want to come back again and again! We have space for 20 yogis on this retreat.
The retreat will begin on Sunday, September 10. Please take either the 9:00 am or 11:00 am ferry from Point Judith so you arrive in time for our first yoga class, which will be held at St. Andrew’s Parish Center from 1:45 – 3:15 pm. After class you can check into your room (the 1661 Inn will hold your luggage should you arrive on the island early). We will reconvene for a group welcome dinner at The Oar House at 7:00 pm. Non-practicing friends or partners are most welcome to join us for dinner! On Monday the 11th, we will practice at 7:30 am and then gather for a delicious and hearty brunch buffet included in your stay with Block Island Resorts. The day is yours to fill with whatever your heart desires. We will reconvene for 4:30 pm practice and you can choose from many appealing downtown options for dinner on your own or with a group. We will awake to our last 7:30 am practice and brunch on Tuesday the 12th before making our way home!
We are partnering with Block Island Resorts for accommodations; all of their lovely properties are within walking distance of the downtown, our yoga space, and the 1661 Inn where everyone will check in and gather for brunch on Monday and Tuesday.
You are responsible for booking your own accommodations, and rooms are first come first served. Rates range from $125 to $175/night plus tax. The Guest House has rooms with shared bathrooms for $125/night. Dewey Cottage, Dodge House and Anchor House all have rooms with private bathrooms for either $150/night or $175/night. Dewey Cottage is a slightly longer walk (about 1/2 mile) from our yoga and brunch space than the other cottages. (You could always splurge on one of the brand new Mitchell or Nicholas Ball Cottages, but these will not be in the quoted price range). There are only a few rooms with two beds so we suggest reserving right away if that is a priority! You can also bring a sleeping bag or air mattress but be sure to reserve a room that is big enough to accommodate it.

September is still a popular time to travel to Block Island, so it’s best to book your spot ahead of time. We suggest the traditional ferry from Point Judith, just $25 round trip and a one hour ride each way. Be sure to take the 9:00 am or 11:00 ferry from Point Judith to Block Island so you arrive in time for our first class.
There are several overnight parking lots near the ferry in Point Judith; cost will be around $10/day to leave your car there.

I led my very first yoga retreat at Sky Meadow many years ago, and have been returning ever since. There is a sense of home at this special place. A spirit of belonging and an aura of ease. Our four yoga practices will provide plenty of variety – vinyasa, restorative, mediation, yoga nidra and more. My amazing friend and fellow teacher Sarah Winslow will be assisting at this retreat, so expect plenty of helpful and nurturing assists and Reiki throughout the weekend!
With nature at our doorstep, there will be ample opportunities for hiking and exploring as well. At night, cozy up
with a book near the wood-burning stove or gather around the warmth of an outdoor campfire with your fellow yogis. Sky Meadow Retreat is the perfect place to connect with old friends and meet new ones while enjoying delicious and wholesome food prepared by Brian Farless (my husband and favorite chef!), warm hospitality, and comfortable shared accommodations amidst the stunning natural beauty of New England in autumn.

Magical Aspen awaits! Retreat leader and Aspen-dweller Shannon Worth has fallen in love with this town, and wants to share it with YOU. The fresh air, the mountains, and the vibe of fun and wellness will all conspire to brighten your spirit as spring begins. The gorgeous Aspen Meadows Resort will be our home base for this five-day, four-night retreat. At Aspen Meadows you will enjoy luxurious lodging, six yoga classes with Shannon, three hearty brunches, and all the resort amenities including access to the health club, heated year-round pool, and hot tub. Complimentary snowshoe rentals are available to guests, and free shuttles will provide you with airport transfers as well as trips to the downtown business district. One festive group dinner is included in your retreat cost, with the other evenings free to explore on your own or in smaller groups. Aspen is chock-full of delicious options from casual grab-and-go to specialty fine dining.
And have we mentioned the skiing?? Spend your free time exploring the famed peaks of Aspen Mountain and Aspen Highlands. Spring skiing is an absolute blast, AND you’ll score the best lift ticket prices of the year. Shannon will help you get familiar with the options and find your sweet spot on the slopes. Cross country skiers and snow-shoers – there are ample trails to explore in Aspen depending upon spring snow at lower elevations. You might also choose to book a massage at the resort, head out for a hike, relax in the hot tub, or take the shuttle into town for some afternoon eats and to soak it all in. This retreat is designed to offer plenty to do, with the option for as much chill time as you like. Can’t go wrong!
